Washington DC's JW Marriott Hotel Hosts Bipartisan Tuesdays & 2008 Presidential Debate Happy Hours

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 4, 2008 – With less than three months to the 2008 presidential elections, politicos, pundits and presidential candidates continue to throw punches in the political arena. From Super Tuesday until the last vote is counted on Election Day or when the last hanging chad drops, the 1331 Lounge at Washington DC's JW Marriott continues to be the place for politics and presidential debate watch happy hours. Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike are invited to reach across the aisles to relax, unwind and watch the 2008 conventions, debates, election coverage and other political events on 11 flat screen televisions.

Bi-Partisan Tuesdays are back from a summer break. Continuing Tuesday, August 26 through November 4, every Tuesday and the presidential and veep debate nights, 1331 Lounge is the spot to view all of the political debate coverage. While watching things heat up between McCain and Obama, guests can enjoy happy hour specials including the red, Grand Old Potable (GOP), the white, On the Fence and the blue, Left of the Isle. The lounge will eventually tally the sales of the GOP and Left of the Isle and post the poll on Tuesdays.

Also, debate watchers can nosh on bi-partisan bites such as Left Wings with spicy Asian dipping sauce, Right Wings with Texas honey barbeque, and Undecide'r Sliders like the "Bay of Pigs" mini Cuban pulled pork sandwich with jicama slaw and chipotle mayo; "FDR's Chicken in the Pot" mini chicken sandwiches with spicy chow chow relish; "Cows and Politics" mini Angus beef burger with cheese and sauce; and the "Swimming up Stream" mini salmon burger with melted dilled Harvarti cheese.

Adding to the fun, 1331's Filibuster Fun Facts and Trivia cards are available throughout the lounge, so patrons can test their political know-how and presidential history.

Debate watch happy hour specials include Partisan Potables that are priced at $8, a trio of undecided'r sliders that are $9 and wings for $6 . Happy hour specials are available from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
