New Channel Partnership - Commerce Plus Services and ACOM Confirm Reseller Partner Agreement
September 10, 2008 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology NewsDALLAS, Texas and LONG BEACH, California, September 10, 2008 – Commerce Plus Services, a Dallas-area consultant and system integrator specializing in Infor Application Plus (A+) software for distributors and wholesalers, has been named a channel partner of ACOM Solutions, Inc., it was announced today by CPS Vice President of Operations Rick Redden and ACOM Senior Vice President James R. Scott.
According to Redden, CPS was formed to identify and install "gap" applications – software that the A+ package for IBM AS/400/iSeries/System I midrange users doesn't include – in a customer base numbering more than 900 companies with revenue levels of $25 million and up.
"The first of these was a sales tax solution and we are currently engaging with several customers per quarter," Redden said. "Not long ago one of our customers came to us for a Positive Pay and ACH electronic payment solution. Knowing that the Infor distributor-wholesaler package does not offer these as standard modules, we saw a great opportunity. Infor has no Positive Pay and while it accommodated ACH for inbound payments, there was no resource for outbound."
CPS reviewed the field of payment software and discovered while there were a number of packages available, most were PC-resident. At ACOM he found both. ACOM's product suite contains one set of the ACOM solutions that run native on the IBM midrange platforms, while a parallel software set is architected for the PC/ANSI environment.
The total Integrated Document Management Solution from ACOM includes core products for electronic payments (EZPayManager) and electronic document design, production and management (EZeDocs). Augmenting these solutions is a comprehensive set of modules, including the sought-for ACH and Positive Pay, and a companion solution for electronic document management and archiving (EZContentManager).
"While we are starting out with the EZPayManager/400 ACH and CheckFraud Alert modules, we see opportunities for dramatic increases in our annual volume as we get our arms around the whole product suite," Redden said. "ACOM will support our sales efforts in the early stages, but on completion of their excellent training program we will be fully on our own."
