Arnolds Park, the beloved and highly popular amusement park and recreation center located in central Iowa, is the primary location for the new mystery thriller, Carousel Of Revenge, which premieres on dvd this November 11.

Directed by Minneapolis native Gene Teigland, Carousel Of Revenge is a mystery/thriller about two strangers, played by Jim Detmar and Tac Fitzgerald, who purchase the local amusement park and quickly stir up guilt and suspicion among the locals about a murder and suicide that the town would rather forget.

Arnolds Park draws over one million visitors each year from all over the mid-west, most notably from Des Moines, Omaha, Sioux City and Cedar Rapids.

The choice to produce Carousel Of Revenge at Arnolds Park is indicative of the kind of resourceful creativity so many independent filmmakers are embracing in order to enhance the value of their productions. An amusement park offers a variety of unique locations within its confines and above all affords a level of production value; lighting, rides, extras, etc. that will make any film feel larger and more professional even if it is produced on a tight budget.

Carousel Of Revenge is part of a growing movement of regional independent cinema that is sweeping the country. Empowered by the reduced overhead fostered by digital production, filmmakers from regions as untraditional and diverse as Philadelphia, Texas, Oklahoma, and the Northwest are making highly entertaining films with unique points of view.

Carousel Of Revenge is being released nationwide on dvd by Lifesize Entertainment. The film is available now for pre-order from most on line retailers, Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery.
