Project Responder, the Ultimate Volunteer Firefighter's Emergency Response Vehicle, takes second place in the Peach of a Car Show, Washington, MO.

Having just been completed and on the road less than three weeks, Project Responder was awarded the second place trophy in the Fire Truck division. The third annual Peach of a Car Show was held on Saturday, September 25th in Washington, MO with over 200 cars and trucks in attendance. The car show, a charity event to raise funds for Star Peds, Crosspoint Christian School and Baby Eric was a huge success.

This was the first show for Project Responder and it's first trophy. Michael Netherton, the owner of Project Responder was extremely pleased with the outcome. "Considering the truck is not yet 100% finished and we didn't have much time to get it ready for the show, I'm very happy to be taking home a trophy, even if it is second place. This makes it all worthwhile.' According to Michael, there are still several small details that need to be completed such as cleaning and polishing all of the chrome and aluminum on the truck, getting the graphics applied and ironing out a few mechanical issues.

Project Responder is the Ultimate Volunteer Firefighter's Emergency Response Vehicle. The project began with a 1987 Ford F-250 which had seen the end of it's useful service life and was transformed into a monstrous fire fighting machine. With a plethora of lights, sirens and air horns along with being lifted up on big tires and a beefy suspension, it is definitely a sight to see. It was a crowd favorite at the show with many of the spectators stopping to take pictures and to get more information about the project truck. More information about the truck, including photos from the show, can be found on Project Responder's website at http://www.projectresponder.com.
