La Parole: Toronto’s Speech Therapy for the Creative Mind Goes Online

The Speech Therapy discussion board is set to pick up where La Parole left off. One year after the popular weekly arts series closed its doors, Mustard Seed Productions introduces a new web community to continue the dialogue.

La Parole was encouraged community dialogue and sharing through performance and discussion. The event featured over 100 performers of poetry, music, dance and theatre during its two year run. Featured guests from Canada, parts of the United States, Europe and the Caribbean all lent their talent to the mix to participate in downtown Toronto’s most interactive Friday night ritual. While remaining eclectic and diverse, La Parole rose in popularity primarily among African-Caribbean adults between the ages of 18 and 35.

The newly opened “Speech Therapy” is welcoming new registrants from around the world. The discussion board promises to be a lively forum wherein to diverse views on urban arts culture and ethics are welcome. Members may share their lyrics, poetry and visual art. Event promoters and other members are invited to post events in the calendar. DJs are encouraged to discuss the latest in Hip Hop, Soca, Reggae and more!

Speech therapy features moderators based in Toronto, New York, London and Trinidad and Tobago.
