Colorado Fire Protection Company Offers Training To Aspiring Business Owners

March 12, 2009 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
March 12, 2009 -Denver, Colorado- Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., a Denver, Colorado fire protection company, has begun a training program for people interested in starting their own fire protection business.

Those who complete the training are eligible to become associate owners to Nationwide Fire Protection, said Massoud Farazandeh, general manager of Nationwide Fire Protection, an affiliate of American Professional Services (APS-Hoods).

Associate owners will work under the Nationwide Fire Protection umbrella, but will have their own area in which they work, Farazandeh said.

"What we are offering Colorado fire protection workers who are not afraid to devote themselves to the work is an opportunity to become their own business owners," he said. "I know there are people out there who were like me 20 years ago- I knew how to do the work, but I didn't know how to start my own business."

Farazandeh said he would have welcomed an offer to teach him how to read blueprints, design systems and get licensed. After more than 20 years as a successful business owner, now he wants to be a trainer to other up-and-comers.

The training will include assistance in obtaining the proper licensing, pulling permits, and reading blueprints, to name a few examples. Ongoing technical support will be provided, and Nationwide Fire Protection Corp. will supply all of the materials, equipment and parts needed for each installation.

For those who complete the training, Nationwide Fire Protection Corp. will turn over its existing accounts in the territory covered by the newly trained fire protection jobs specialists and will continue to forward new business their way.

"We will continue to give our accounts in that territory to them as long as they continue to follow our safety, product, code and ethical guidelines regarding installation," Farazandeh said.

For Farazandeh, following Nationwide Fire Protection Corp.'s ethics code is as important as following building codes.

"The code is something you have to follow because it's the law," he said. "But ethics is something you must have to be sustainable and successful in the long term."
