Frugal Goes Beyond Clipping Coupons and Washing Baggies

August 25, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
CHICAGO, OpenPress – TheStoneJones launches web-based resource center for cheap fun in Chicago and money-saving advice for small businesses world-wide.

This community is geared toward self-employed people and creative types, young professionals and anyone interested in maintaining a great quality of life without punishing their wallets. The online magazines, forum and links to other websites promote the cool, smart parts of frugality.

When TheStoneJones originally set out in July 2005, it was an entertainment guide for interesting and cheap events in Chicago. During promotion of the website, “I was hit with an overwhelming amount of information from internet searches”, states owner, Stone Jones. “As a newly self-employed person, I was unclear about where or how to find objective assessments on saving money. I decided to morph this medium in to a focal point for having a small budget cover going to concert while promoting a business at the same time.”

Each week, the entertainment ezine covers four different events, from family fun to purely grown-up activities. Being unique, cool and often without a cover charge set these venues apart from typical fodder. The business ezine reviews a host of services, ranging from site promotion to web building tools, to keep a handle on your start-up financing. A forum and upcoming newsletter, set for September 2005, encourage members to share ideas, information and support.
