Kinky Friedman's Gubernatorial Bid Gaining Attention

Richard "Kinky" Friedman is in the third act of his life. The first act had him as a country singer, in the second he was a mystery writer. Now, he's running for Governor of Texas. The internet is abuzz with talk of Kinky and his plans for the Lone Star State. One site, www.cafepress.com/scarebaby/793803 , is featuring sly "I'm Saving Myself for Kinky" and "Texas Loves Kinky" t-shirts for under $20. The reason for the "I'm Saving Myself for Kinky" sentiment is that in order to sign the petition that will put Kinky on the ballot, Texans must refrain from voting in the primary. Hence, they are saving their vote for Kinky. According to sources, it won't be a problem for him to get the necessary signatures.
America may be looking at its next celebrity governor. Friedman would follow in the footsteps of Jesse Ventura and Arnold Schwarzenegger. And Texas will be proud.
