QuaTeams as a founding industry partner of the Center for Applied High Performance Computing (CAHPC) at Howard University will be exhibiting at the SC2004 Supercomputing Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. The convention will feature both industry and researcher exhibits where the CAHPC will be highlighting their current research.

The center was founded last year by Howard University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and QuaTeams as a new type of application focused high performance computing center. The center is geared towards applications of computationally intensive technology and education in order to advance the capability of the Howard University student and faculty community. Current research focus areas include Bio-informatics, Homeland Security, and Computational Education.

The conference is an opportunity for the CAHPC and QuaTeams to showcase their research, and to educate the industry on its mission as a center. "There is currently no other center like the CAHPC', says Jim Humphries, CAHPC Deputy Director and QuaTeams Founder, "we are continually working to facilitate partnerships and opportunities not just on-campus, but with agencies, other campuses, industry, and other HPC centers and government laboratories with compatible missions.'

"We consider the conference a great opportunity for the CAHPC,' Shackerah Cupidon, Marketing Manager for QuaTeams Inc, stated, "The center needs more opportunities to educate the industry on its research and HPC breakthroughs.'

Visit the Center for Applied High Performance Computing at Booth #: 2720 from Tuesday, November 9 – 11 and see how far we've come and where we are determined to be.
