Company Providing Fire Protection Systems in Denver Increases Travel Fee-Free Service Area

May 21, 2009 -DENVER, COLORADO- Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., a Denver fire systems company, recently expanded the area in which it provides services free of travel fees to customers.

NFP, which sells and installs fire systems in Denver and throughout the nation, now provides these services in areas located within 35 miles of Denver without charging a travel fee, said Massoud Farazandeh, general manager of the Colorado fire protection company, which is an affiliate of American Professional Services (APS-Hoods).

That includes the cities of Boulder, Littleton, Brighton, Lakewood, Castle Rock, Idaho Springs, Evergreen, Aurora, Parker, Louisville, Bloomfield, Centennial, Lafayette, Meadowland, Lyon and Golden, to name a few. The company continues to offer its services throughout Colorado and the United States. However, travel fees outside the 35-mile radius of Denver apply.

NFP once offered services without travel fees only to businesses within the Denver metropolitan area, Farazandeh said, but increased business in areas farther outside Denver prompted him to make the change. As the workload increases in other cities, Farazandeh will begin cutting travel fees elsewhere.

Farazandeh said he also tries to work with businesses in more remote areas, particularly now that tough economic times have affected so many businesses and forced them to consider more cost-cutting measures. In the past, a restaurant owner in a remote area has called other local restaurants in need of Nationwide Fire Protection's services and together, they have split the travel fee for the service.

"If the travel fee to get to a city is $200, but there are four restaurants that need to be serviced, we will split the travel fee so that each pays just $50," he said, adding that this offer became especially popular last summer when gas prices had increased so dramatically.

Some businesses may wonder if Farazandeh has padded service fees to account for the elimination of travel fees to more cities, but Farazandeh said that is not the case.

"The more accounts we have in an area, the more cost-effective it is for us to provide services in that area," he said. "The minute we start hiking up our prices in areas far outside Denver, we begin losing customers to local competitors. We're not interested in doing that."

Instead, Farazandeh is leveraging the work in these areas so his company can provide customers with the best national quality service Nationwide Fire Protection has to offer, but at a price competitive with local providers, he said.
