SAN FRANCISCO, CA - May 30, 2009 - First on Mars, a personalized guide to network TV on the web, announced today the launch of personalized email updates. Registered First on Mars users who opt-in will receive periodic email updates when new episodes, shows and networks that match their preferences become available online.

"The shows that TV fans love are spread across dozens of network sites, each with a different schedule for putting up new episodes," said First on Mars Founder and CEO Tuhin Roy. "Our new email feature will keep FOM users up to date as new episodes and their favorite shows become available," added Roy.

First on Mars is the first Internet application to apply successful discovery, personalization and social models to Internet TV. First on Mars enables users to build a personal guide to network TV by adding shows, networks and TV moods to their favorites. Each user's guide is dynamically programmed based on these preferences.

First on Mars launched its personal guide to network TV in December 2008 and FOM V2 in March 2009. The service is free to consumers. The company filed a patent application covering its proprietary guide personalization technology in September 2008.
