Schenectady, NY The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York added docSTAR as a 'value provider' for document management solutions. docSTAR will be featured in a business resource directory for IIABNY members.

"Document management plays a key role in the Best Practices of any agency," says Richard A. Poppa, CAE, AAI, President and CEO of the IIABNY. "This partnership will provide our members with direct access to a valuable software solution."

As part of a document management education initiative, docSTAR will sponsor live educational webinars for IIABNY members. IIABNY members will also have access to the docSTAR Users Forum for the sharing of Best Practices with document management.

"We have always had a great relationship with the IIABNY," says Tom Franceski, President and CEO of docSTAR. "We understand what it means to be a service provider. Our goal is to help agencies achieve higher productivity and improved customer service while increasing the value of the agency."

Many IIABNY members have already seen the benefits of the docSTAR solution. "I struggled too long with the decision to buy docSTAR," said Doug Katz of Jacob J Katz Agency. "I finally did it. My only regret is I didn't do it sooner."

docSTAR offers users a familiar, easy-to-use interface and provides software integration with most agency management systems including: The Agency Manager, Instar, AfW®, AMS360® and Sagitta.

"Agency management systems are only one piece of the puzzle," says Rusty Keighron, docSTAR Insurance Practice Leader. "docSTAR goes beyond scanning to complete document management. In today's economic climate, the 'paperless office' is not only a reality it's a necessity."
