Austin, TX Aug 8, 2009, a new web directory of counselors and therapists in the Austin area, offers peace of mind to those in need of attention. The new website launched on July 1, 2008, after two years of planning and development, with intent of making it easier for individuals to find right-fit Austin therapists and counselors for  themselves and their specific condition. Austin therapists are able to submit information on  their practice, their expertise, support groups they host and articles they've written, providing a legitimate and robust resource of Austin-based mental health professionals.

"We started FeelGoodAustin because there was a lack of consolidated information on therapy and counseling for the Austin area online," says Ellen Lindsey, Founder/Director of FeelGoodAustin. "The site now brings together the community of mental health practitioners for the advancement of the profession within Austin," continues Lindsey. The ability for Austin therapists, including other mental health professionals, to contribute content to the site is paramount and ensures that individuals in need can get a feel for the level of service, as well as the particular type of service, they can expect.

Because of FeelGoodAustin, Austin therapists can begin the relationship with potential clients before the client walks in the door . "At Feel Good Austin, we know that the quality of the client-therapist relationship is important to the outcome of any therapy, and our Austin-based therapists and counselors are personable, experienced and successful at helping individuals to live happier, more balanced lives again," states Lindsey. With, visitors have the ability and accessibility to get the help they need when they need it.

FeelGoodAustin began in 2008 with the purpose of bringing together Austin-based mental health practitioners and people in Austin who are looking for services. FeelGoodAustin hopes to improve the mental health of the community we serve by offering a place for therapists to list their services, workshops and groups and to submit articles. The site aims to help individuals learn about therapy, find an Austin therapist, take a few minutes to browse the site, read informative articles, find workshops and other events on the community calendar, and search for information. Because of FeelGoodAustin finding a therapist or counselor is an enjoyable process after all!
