Bump or dump? That's the theme behind the newly launched LinkBump.com, where users "bump" the most interesting videos and news to the top and "dump" the trash into oblivion. The company intends to further an interactive media, as traditional newspapers and magazines are controlled by "out-of-touch corporate fat cats."

The web application will compete with Digg, Reddit, Yahoo! Buzz, and Mixx with some notable differences. As of now, there are no advertisements on LinkBump.com and the site does not accept image submissions. It's aiming for more useful content and less humor.

The company plans an aggressive link building and marketing campaign to help build the initial community. They are searching for a venture capitalist to make a modest investment for this purpose.

In the near future, the company plans to launch separate versions for Asian languages, starting with Chinese and Korean. The user interface will remain the same for all languages.
