DefendGate – Releases Version 4.0 Suite of On Line Security Products

On October 1st, DefendGate a Toronto based system security developer and provider of affordable and reliable system security solutions announced the launch of their new 4.0 versions of DefendGate Smartfix and DefendGate Security Suite.
The new versions are upgraded to include the following:
1. Added DefendGate Firewall, protecting against network attacks and threats.
2. Added disable support for PCT 1.0 Server.
3. Added Disable Anonymous RPC Access over HTTP.
4. Added disable UPNP Windows services.
5. Improve online anti-virus interface performance.
6. Real-time worm and spyware detection.

DefendGate was founded by Alex Wong and Todd Anstey in January of 2004. Alex is a computer engineering intern at the University of Waterloo and Todd holds an MBA in Information Systems from McMaster University.
