Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery is the first and only plastic surgery center on that famous street. The center's media outreach focuses on patient education, and to further this goal it has unveiled a Twitter page.

The Twitter page will work in conjunction with its other patient outreach programs. Already on the menu are traditional web sites, procedure specific sites focused on tummy tuck, liposuction, breast augmentation, breast reduction, rhinoplasty, plastic surgery for men, ethnic plastic surgery, a general education site and a Spanish language site.

The center also has several blogs, which focus on different topics within plastic surgery such as Los Angeles breast augmentation. One blog exclusively features educational articles written by the center's Medical Director, Dr. Lloyd Krieger. Recent article topics include liposuction without anesthesia and exercise after tummy tuck Some of the blogs are written by Dr. Krieger and provide insights from the point of view of a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. Others are written by staff, offering a different perspective on the patient experience.

"We are pleased to offer a wide range of information sources for our patients and the public," says Dr. Krieger. "For those seeking broad information about plastic surgery, we offer a detailed and comprehensive web site. When they are ready to go in depth about just one specific procedure, they can go to our procedure specific web sites. Next they can read the articles I have written about all the procedures we offer. When they choose to stay in the loop for new trends and developments in the specialty, they can spend time with our blogs written from different points of view."

Dr. Krieger notes that the new Twitter page will provide an important addition to this already wide ranging education program. "Twitter let's us give short, frequent, and instant updates. This is a less formal way of giving people information, as well as a feeling for what plastic surgery and our center are all about."

Dr. Krieger concludes, "Plastic surgery is both a big step and in many ways an optimist one. People are investing in themselves. We believe that the process is as important as many technical issues in terms of creating pleasing results. And they key to a good process is great communication. We are embracing this and other new forms of media precisely because they represent another way to communicate with our current and potential patients."

Beverly Hills plastic surgery specialist Lloyd M. Krieger, MD is a product of Stanford University and UCLA Medical Center for his education and residency. He created Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery with the goal of delivering innovation to the means of providing cosmetic surgery care. Placing his center on the world's capital of retail shopping was a part of that. Krieger says he wanted to introduce retail concepts of customer service to such procedures as breast augmentation.

Recent media stories on the center have appeared in national and international outlets including Fortune and Forbes Turkish edition, CNBC, Access Hollywood, among many others.

Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery's on-site surgery center is accredited by Medicare. "We designed our center to combine the convenience of storefront shopping with what I call the Four Seasons treatment," Dr. Krieger concludes. "Because things like liposuction are elective, people are looking for a first-class experience, and that's what we offer."
