For 2009/2010, Carsten Nicolai is the creative mind with his work on display and he has built installations relating to the geology of Naples and the surrounding areas.

One of the installations Pionier I makes use of a parachute which is powered by a fan and illuminated by strong reflectors so that when darkness arrives, it is highlighted for all to admire.

The second installation called Pionier II has hot air balloons floating above Piazza del Plebiscito with an accompanying sound transposition.

It is free for visitors to come and admire the spectacle and it is on show all day.
