On-Line Strategies, a leading provider of payment systems technology, consulting and support services, announced two new hires to support the company's recent growth. Rod Cullison and Rick Walters join OLS with decades of experience in the payments space and will be charged with managing the implementation and delivery of software products and support services for new and existing customers.

Commenting on the new hires, Terry Richards, president of OLS said: "OLS prides itself on attracting and retaining the best in the business. I am pleased to have Rod and Rick on our team."

Rod Cullison began his career in banking systems with National Sharedata Corporation, a bank facility management company headquartered in Dallas, TX. As Regional Development Manager, Rod managed the technology group responsible for several banks in the National Sharedata network throughout the west. After five years with National Sharedata he moved to Albuquerque, NM to begin a career with First National Bank in Albuquerque. Starting as head of the systems group, he later moved to the lending side of the bank as Vice President and Plan Manager of Southwestern Card Services, the credit card division of FNB/A. There he became involved in online transaction processing and split off the merchant processing and acquiring business to a separate Electronic Banking Division which he managed as a Senior Vice President. Under Rod's leadership the Electronic Banking Division implemented several innovative technologies including the first mobile ATM in a recreational vehicle with microwave telecommunications for mobility, a regional network for banks to share ATM and POS transactions called the Money Network and one of the first Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) systems in the country for New Mexico. When First Security Corporation from Salt Lake City, UT acquired First National Bank in Albuquerque, Rod moved to Salt Lake City as Senior Vice President of Electronic Services for First Security. After five years Rod and his family decided to return to Albuquerque, where Rod accepted a position with Citicorp in their Electronic Financial Services group (Citicorp's EBT processing company) as Vice President and Senior Director of the Inter-Mountain region. When the EFS group was acquired by JPMorgan in 2004, Rod continued in the same position until 2008 when he left to spend more time at home with his family. Rod has worked with OLS' senior management as a customer and is enthusiastic about being a part of the On-Line Strategies team. Rod will be primarily responsible for project management and business development.

Rick Walters began his career in the retail/retail drug industry at Long's Drug Stores by holding a variety of store level positions while working his way through school. After graduating with degrees in Computer Science and Math, Rick continued his career at Long's by moving to their corporate offices in Walnut Creek, CA, where he spent eleven years designing, developing, and supporting the in-store prescription processing system and the Stratus/ON2 based electronic payment and pharmacy adjudication solutions. After a total of 17 years with Long's Rick moved to Dallas, TX, where he worked for ON2 software vendor S2 Systems as a Senior Consultant helping multiple large U.S based retail and retail drug chains realize maximum benefit from their Stratus/ON2 online transaction processing platform. After S2, Rick worked as an independent consultant for ConocoPhillips where he enjoyed managing technical projects ranging from routine maintenance to major upgrades and enhancements for ConocoPhillips' entire Stratus based electronic payment infrastructure. Most recently, Rick was employed by Priva Technologies, developers of a key fob-like personal biometric device. At Priva, Rick helped design and bring to market a unique targeted marketing and secure payment solution protected by fingerprint biometrics. Rick also helped design and implement biometrically enabled airport security solutions for two top domestic airlines. Today, Rick is excited about returning to his electronic payment and pharmacy roots by joining the On-Line Strategies team as a Senior Project Manager. Rick will be primarily responsible for managing OLS' pharmacy adjudication projects and customer base.
