Finicity, makers of Mvelopes is pleased to announce an exciting partnership with Money Campus Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping students, adults, and families develop successful personal money management skills by providing ways for them to learn and use the principles of envelope budgeting, a forward-looking cash-based system for planning, tracking and managing future expenditures.

Money Campus was created to deal with the growing crisis in personal financial literacy. The 2009 Consumer Financial Literacy Survey found that 41% of U.S. adults, or more than 92 million people, gave themselves a grade of C, D, or F on their knowledge of personal finance. A 2008 National Jump$tart Coalition Survey determined the financial literacy of high school students had fallen to its lowest level ever, with a score of just 48.3%. The average score for college students on the same exam was just 62.2%. These findings highlight the need for better financial training for both students and adults in general.

"The Foundation's goal is to teach people sound financial principles so they can live debt free and enjoy the benefits that can result from the application of these proven principles," said David Hansen, Executive Director of Operations at Money Campus. "The principles of envelope budgeting and money management have helped an untold number of people in the past create long-term financial success. With personal finances becoming more and more complex, it is even more important to help students, individuals and families understand the core principles embodied in proactive money management. Money Campus is introducing technologies and solutions that allow for successful implementation of these principles in today's cashless world."

The mission of Money Campus is to teach and promote wise personal money management, debt reduction, and growing personal savings through the understanding and use of envelope budgeting. Using the principles of envelope budgeting, together with the on-line application Mvelopes®, provides the most comprehensive solution available for successfully managing personal finances.

"By bringing together personal money management training and tools that help individuals, students, and families, Finicity and Money Campus are able to help people proactively take control of their money, rapidly eliminate debt and live a stress-free financial life," said Steven B Smith, President and CEO of Finicity. "We absolutely agree with the mission of Money Campus and are delighted to be in a position to work with them as they execute programs to educate individuals and groups on the importance of using these principles in their approach to money management."

Money Campus Foundation is partnering with colleges, universities and other organizations to offer these organizations envelope budgeting training for their students or members. These partnerships are guiding the development of classroom curriculum, training programs for college and university-based seminars, as well as on-line teaching modules for use by adults and families.
