LateRooms.com can announce that people staying at hotels in Naples over the coming weeks may want to get themselves down to one museum for an exciting new event.

Hour X is an exhibition that has been put on at the Archaeological Museum of Naples by artist Giulio Paolini and is a contemporary installation that may provide a change to all the ancient treasures and relics housed at the building.

What's on When reports that the show is part of a greater initiative in Naples to investigate the relationship between the Baroque era and modern times.

Some of the major points for comparison include profound religious extremism, which has been prevalent in both periods, as well as major scientific revelations and inventions.

Hour X fits into this scheme as it challenges the history of art and "offers elements for the reinterpretation of conventional representations", the tourist information website explains.

The museum is open everyday except Tuesday from 9:00 until 20:00 local time and tickets for the exhibition, which runs until January 18th, cost €6.50 (£6.85) or €3.50 for concessions.

As well as taking in the Hour X exhibition, visitors to the Archaeological Museum of Naples may also want to check out the many mosaics from the cities of Herculaneum, Pompeii and Stabiae, which were buried when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, Italiansrus advises.

To make the most of Hour X – you should consider booking your hotel Napoli to avoid disappointment.
