LateRooms.com can announce that the UK's capital is bursting at the seams with art galleries and museums and people staying in London hotels may struggle to get round even half of them during their time in the city.

However, the London Art Fair may mean they can experience more than one of these establishments, as it brings together over 100 leading British galleries.

Taking place from January 13th until the 17th 2010 at the Business Design Centre, the event is the UK's largest modern and contemporary art fair and is its 22nd year.

As well as showing British works, Art Projects at London Art Fair also gives international galleries the chance to showcase some of their most impressive paintings and some of the organisations making an appearance this year include Foley Gallery from New York and Gallery Baer from Dresden.

If anyone staying in London fancies themselves to be something of an art connoisseur, then they could also use this as a chance to pick up a piece to add to their collection.

While serious bidders can find works worth over £1 million, there will also be paintings on display from up-and-coming artists selling from £20.

Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, commented: "Demand for the London Art Fair is always significant and we recommend that anyone considering attending should book their London hotels as early as possible."

The Business Design Centre is located in Islington and hosts around 70 trade and consumer exhibitions every year.
