LateRooms.com can announce that the south German city of Munich is playing host to an exhibition of one of the masters of the Art Nouveau movement, Alfons Mucha.

More than 200 works by the artist are on display in the Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung until January 24th 2010.

Exhibits have been sourced from both private and public collections, guaranteeing that a number of pieces featured will never have been seen before.

People staying in accommodation in Munich are advised to take in the exhibition before it moves on at the end of next month.

Installations showcasing the Czech artist's work - who was famous for his posters, book illustrations and jewellery creations - include sculptures, books and fabrics that "are witness to his genius", according to the museum's website.

Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 local time, there is no excuse to miss out on this extensive collection of Art Nouveau masterpieces.

Admission to the gallery costs 9 (£8.12), with concessionary rates available for senior citizens and students.

Regular guided tours also take place at an extra cost, although, these are only on offer in German.

Commenting on the Mucha exhibition, Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, said: "We strongly urge people thinking of going to the Mucha exhibition and who need hotels München to book early to avoid disappointment."
