Connecticut resident and national recording artist Lucinda will open for popular 70’s artists Atlanta Rhythm Section on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 6:00PM for Taste of Greater Danbury at the Danbury Green-Civic Center. Lucinda’s band includes Tom Nagy on drums, Michael Connolly on guitar, and Tim Sway on bass.

With heartfelt lyrics, strong, memorable melodies and an undeniable stage presence, Lucinda has captured a grassroots following that many signed artists would die for. Her “acoustic driven pop” sound has enticed independent radio stations around the world to play Lucinda’s music, and now commercial radio is embracing her as well. Lucinda’s single “Gemini Moon” went Top 30 on the FMQB AC40 Chart in 2004. Her new single “One Thousand Tears” can be heard on her website www.lucindaworld.com and is being set up for a future impact date at radio.

Lucinda’s many musical achievements include a live performance on NBC Sports and opening spots for national recording acts The Guess Who (with Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman), Pat Benatar, and Eddie Money. During her gig with Money, he invited Lucinda to join him on stage for a rousing version of his popular song, "Take Me Home Tonight". She was a huge hit, adding her signature vocals to the famed Ronnie Spector line, "Be my little baby." The Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in New York City featured Lucinda in two professional showcases, and she was named Best Female Vocalist 2001 and 2002 by the over 5 million listeners of Cameo Broadcasting’s Songwriters Network. In addition to these accolades, the Connecticut Songwriters Association recognized Lucinda with Outstanding Accomplishment by a Performing Artist honors. Of all her accomplishments, the one Lucinda is most proud of is being chosen as a performer in "LIFEbeat- The Music Industry Fights AIDS" Hearts and Voices musical program (www.lifebeat.org). Additionally, Lucinda has sold over 27,000 CD’s at live shows only throughout the last 4 years. Lucinda is a client of the Jerry Lembo Entertainment Group, music business consultants.

The Atlanta Rhythm Section’s hits “So Into You,” “Spooky,” and “Imaginary Lover” were radio staples in the 70’s. The band still enjoys a broad fan base and a busy touring schedule that takes them throughout the United States this fall. Their latest release is the DVD The Atlanta Rhythm Section – Live at Stabler Arena.

The Taste of Greater Danbury, a festival featuring food from local restaurants, live music, entertainment, children’s games, non-profit booths, and a new juried arts and crafts section, celebrates its 19th anniversary this year. Admission to the festival is free.
