LateRooms.com can announce that The Stratford Town Ghost Walk will take visitors back in time on a journey to some of the city's most haunted locations.

People booked into accommodation in the Cotswolds who are looking for an unusual way to pass the day and see some of the town's sights may want to sign up for the tour.

Lasting approximately two hours, tourists are guided around some of Stratford's most recognisable buildings and given an insight into their history.

Visitors may encounter the Royal Shakespeare Theatre ghost or even the witch that lived in a slum.

Led by professional actors and magical entertainers, it promises to be a performance as much as a historic walk.

Groups are guided by either the Man in Black, Vincent, or Blake Barrington who tell tales of witches, murder and ghosts.

Tickets cost £5 and tours are conducted every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, starting at 19:30 GMT and departing from Waterside, opposite Sheep Street.

If you are seeking a more leisurely tour of the region's history then you may be interested in the Ghost Cruise, which travels down the River Avon while passengers are regaled with sinister stories from the past.

The number of cruises each year is limited, with just one taking place each month. The next date is January 30th, with the trip costing £11.
