Ron Carter, Houston Chevrolet Dealer, Raises Money and Gifts for Share-A-Toy

Ron Carter, a leading Houston Chevrolet dealer, is proud to announce their support for the Houston, Texas and Alvin Texas-based Share-A-Toy and Food Pantry Programs. The employees at Ron Carter have continually, over the last several years, helped raise money and donate gifts to the local Share-A-Toy program, sponsored by the Alvin Fire Department. Also, they have donated their time and efforts to the local Food Pantry Program.

Ron Carter, a Houston Chevy dealership, serving Alvin, and other Houston area communities, has a long track record of supporting these 2 charitable programs. In 2008, the Texas Chevrolet dealer donated over $9,000 in cash and gifts to support 312 families and 871 children.

This year Ron Carter was able to nearly match last year's totals, in spite of the harsh economic times. In addition to supporting the Share-A-Toy program, Ron Carter's employees were able to support the Food Pantry Program by collecting and helping to distribute non-perishable food items to needy families and individuals in the greater Houston and Alvin Texas locales.

The Share-A-Toy program in Alvin, Texas is organized and run by the Alvin Fire Department and its personnel. The Fire Department accepts toy and monetary donations to help provide children of under-privileged families with additional Christmas gifts during the holiday season. This year marked the 30th anniversary of the Alvin Texas Fire Department organizing and administering the Share-A-Toy program. During that time they've raised millions of dollars and distributed tens of thousands of toys to the Alvin, Texas and other Houston Texas area communities.

The Food Pantry Program in Alvin, Texas is a non-profit organization which helps directly serve meals to hundreds of families each month. The organization typically collects canned and boxed groceries, frozen foods, bakery items, and some fresh produce for distribution to lower-income families and individuals.
