LateRooms.com can announce that anyone staying at hotels in Rome who is looking for some adventure during their time in the city is invited to go on a journey through space with one exhibition.

Stars and Particles: The Voice of the Universe is being launched to support the International Year of Astronomy and people have until February 14th 2010 to experience the event.

It is being curated by the Italian Space Agency, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and the National Institute of Astrophysics and aims to show people how the universe and its mysteries are explored.

Taking place at Rome's Palazzo delle Esposizioni, the exhibition will also demonstrate how various instruments are used to investigate the deepest, darkest depths of space from some of the most extreme environments on earth.

When walking into the first room of the spectacle, visitors are greeted with a giant sphere symbolising earth and the other planets, which uses multimedia effects to display testimonies from space researchers.

Other areas contain telescopes, cosmic radiation indicators and the latest astronomical observation tools.

According to Italy Traveller "the exhibition concludes with the assertion that many of the mysteries of the universe have yet to be solved".

From January 13th to 17th, a science festival is also taking place at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, which includes all manner of displays and shows from some of the world's leading physicians and astronomers.
