LateRooms.com can announce that people staying in Florence hotels at the beginning of February are in for a treat, as the region's best chocolatiers gather for a festival to display the art of chocolate making.

The Artisan Chocolate Fair is an annual event, which features wide programme of free activities.

Celebrations this year will kick off on February 4th at the Piazza Santa Croce and run until February 7th.

This year's programme includes chocolate sampling, games, shows and live music, according to What's On When.

Foreign exhibitors will also take their places alongside Tuscany's finest chocolate makers to offer visitors a taste of the sweet delicacy.

In addition to traditional chocolates, guests at the event will also have the opportunity to sample a selection of teas, coffees, beers, wines and liquors in combination with the cocoa-based treat.

The square hosting the stalls will be open from 10:00 local time to 22:00 every day, giving travellers ample time to explore all that the chocolatiers have to offer.

Commenting on the Florence Artisan Chocolate Fair, Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, said: "We strongly urge people thinking of going to the Chocolate Fair and who need hotel Firenze to book early to avoid disappointment."

The Tuscany Pass website added that visitors will be able to marvel at an installation of lamps made of chocolate or even participate in an open-air gym session followed by a mug of hot cocoa.
