EDMONTON, ALBERTA – No longer are Canadians looking south of the border for resort property. Attractive financing options, accessibility, health care insurance concerns, reduced air travel time and prices, and an overall rebound in property values across the country, coupled with Canadians' desire to have something closer to home has started to thaw out the market. With that in mind, Rohit Group of Companies purchased Resort at Copper Point in the Columbia Valley in British Columbia.

"Copper Point is a four seasons resort that is situated perfectly in the heart of the Rocky Mountains Kootenay area of British Columbia featuring lakes, numerous golf courses, skiing at Panorama, hot springs and a wide array of outdoor opportunities," says Radhe Gupta, CEO of Rohit Group of Companies. While The Resort at Copper Point has been delayed for the past 12 months, it is clear from the quality of the existing 70% of current construction that the original project developers and the municipality had an eye for design and fine details. "Combined with our strengths in commercial, land and BC condominium development, and the exceptional bones of this project, we can bring to fruition the vision of a vibrant community that has an outstanding future," continues Radhe. Resort at Copper Point contains 106 hotel condo units complete with swimming pools and golf course views.

As part of its desire to create sustainable masterplanned communities, Rohit looks to work with the local community to bring this project back to life and add to the local economy.
