AsiaRooms.com can announce that Dubai will be welcoming some of the world's most accomplished jazz musicians to the emirate for a special event next month.

The Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival takes place from February 10th to 19th and is expected to attract over 25,000 music lovers.

People staying in Dubai hotels during the event will have the opportunity to enjoy performances from virtuoso stars of the global jazz scene including Spyro Gyra, Dave Koz and Mike Stern.

Several British artists are also scheduled to perform at the Skywards festival, with David Gray playing on Thursday February 18th and James Morrison appearing on the following night.

Meanwhile, Wednesday February 17th will see a performance from London acid jazz veterans the Brand New Heavies.

The event is held in the outdoor amphitheatre at Dubai Media City and this year's show is expected to be better than ever.

Approximately 30 different performances are spread over the ten nights of the festival, meaning there should be something to suit all musical tastes.

"As always the festival will bring together a diversified line-up of artists, which will surely be a great attraction for a great number of fans and quality music enthusiasts," said Anthony Younes, managing director of organisers Chillout Productions.

Tickets prices for the festival at 275 dirhams (£45).
