LateRooms.com reports one of the biggest events on the horse racing calendar is due to hit Cheltenham next month, with thousands of spectators, trainers and jockeys expected for the Festival.

People staying in Cotswolds hotels between March 16th and 19th may want to book their spot in the stands for one of horse racing's most exciting contests.

Featuring 26 races over its three-day run, the Festival at Cheltenham promises to be one of the highlights of the season.

Although there are big prizes to be won each day, the biggest draw to jockeys and visitors alike is the Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup Day, which takes place on Friday March 19th.

Women may want to attend Lady's Day on March 18th, when big hats and fashion will be the order of the day along with the action on the course.

There is also a special charity race in aid of Cancer Research UK as well as the usual excitement of the jump racing that features on Lady's Day.

Many people will no doubt flock to Cheltenham for a flutter on the final event of the meeting - the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Although booking tickets in advance is advised and will be cheaper, it is always possible to pay for entry at the course on arrival.
