LateRooms.com can reveal that golf fans hoping to treat themselves to a holiday as well as catching a couple of rounds from some of the world's finest players may want to book their Seville hotels now.

This is because this year's Open de Espana tournament will take place at the city's Real Club de Golf and it is one event that is likely to attract some of Europe's star competitors.

The action takes place from April 29th until May 2nd and there is a prize fund of €2 million (£1.75 million) on offer to ensure that everyone plays to the best of their ability for a few truly spectacular rounds of golf.

In the past, the competition has been won by some of the sport's big hitters, such as Peter Lawrie, Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie.

Last year, French player Thomas Levet took home his fifth European Tour title – which is a new record for a French player – when he won the competition.

Seville's golf club is a par 72 course and is located just two kilometres out of the city centre.

One of Spain's most famous players and a previous winner of the Open de Espana is Seve Ballesteros, who won 87 titles during his career.

Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, commented: "Demand for Open de Espana is always significant and we recommend that anyone considering attending should book their hoteles Sevilla as early as possible."
