AsiaRooms.com reports Pattaya is set to provide the location for this year's Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (Adfest).

The event takes place from Thursday March 18th to Saturday March 20th and aims to celebrate the creativity and innovation of the region's advertising sector.

Members of the industry from across south-east Asia will be heading to Thailand hotels for the festival, which has the theme of 'Refresh' this year.

According to the organisers, Adfest allows advertising professionals to "exchange ideas and admire award-winning campaigns in a tropical, relaxing location that is perfectly suited to networking, gathering ideas and recharging".

The busy three-day festival is now in its 13th year, having been inaugurated in Chiang Mai in 1998.

Pattaya's Exhibition and Conference Centre hosts the event and delegates are required to pay a registration fee of 21,600 baht (£414).

One of the most eagerly anticipated aspects of the festival is the awards presentation, with accolades being handed out to the best advertising campaigns of the year.

Categories include poster, film, radio, outdoor, press and cyber.

People staying in Pattaya hotels can also look forward to the presentation of the Intercontinental Advertising Cup, which is jointly curated by Adfest and two other regional advertising conferences.
