AsiaRooms.com can reveal that taking place from March 17th to 20th, Art Dubai brings leading galleries from around the world to the emirate's Madinat Jumeirah Arena.

The prestigious art fair is now in its fourth year and has confirmed participants from 30 different countries for its 2010 edition.

Over 60 galleries in total will display work at this year's event, which is sure to persuade thousands of international art enthusiasts to book hotels in Dubai.

In 2009, Art Dubai attracted 14,000 visitors over the four days and the organisers are hoping for an even better turnout this time around.

John Martin, director and co-founder of Art Dubai, has described the event as "an unmissable date on the international art calendar".

He added: "Over the past three years, Art Dubai has created a critical platform for current art practice in the Middle East, setting the business of art within a context that is intelligent, stimulating and relevant."

Highlights of this year's event are expected to include the Global Art Forum, which brings international art experts together with regional figures for cultural debate and discussion.

The winner of the Abraaj Capital Art Prize, an accolade created specifically for artists and curators based in the Middle East, North Africa and south Asia, will also be unveiled at Art Dubai.
