- Check out a basketball match in Dusseldorf

February 25, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News highlights anyone with a love of sports is sure to find Düsseldorf an interesting place to visit.

The city boasts teams which play ice hockey, hand ball and basketball - which should be enough to keep people staying in Düsseldorf hotels occupied during their visit.

On March 20th, the local basketball team will take on the side from Hagen, in what promises to be a fast-paced encounter.

The Giants Düsseldorf team will stride out in front of their supporters hoping to slam-dunk some points against Phoenix Hagen.

All the action will start on court at 15:00 (local time), with the Düsseldorf side out for revenge following defeat at the hands of the Hagen players earlier in the season.

Either way, the two points on offer from the match will prove vital to either team's campaign this year.

Anyone who fancies watching the action court-side should head down to the Burg Wächter Castello to see the high-octane encounter.

Tickets start from 12 (£10.54), but for seats within touching distance of the players, fans should consider shelling out 33 to get a better view.

"The Giants Düsseldorf versus Phoenix Hagen match is likely to be popular," said Jess Reading, head of marketing at LateRooms. "LateRooms strongly recommends people considering attending to book hotels Düsseldorf as soon as possible."
