AsiaRooms.com highlights motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world are expected to book hotels in Thailand for the forthcoming Phuket Bike Week.

Taking place on Patong Beach from Friday April 9th to Tuesday April 13th, the festival brings an international celebration of motorcycle culture to Thailand's largest island.

People staying in hotels in Phuket can look forward to a busy programme of events over the five days, with a motorcycle exhibition showcasing the latest custom bikes and equipment.

Other highlights include a tattoo contest and the Miss Phuket Bike Week beauty pageant.

During the festival, Patong's Loma Park hosts a daily beach party and rock concert, while there is also the chance to attend the grand dinner at the Thainaan restaurant on April 9th.

Now in its 16th edition, the bike week will include a "ride for peace" around the island this year.

A variety of Phuket Bike Week merchandise is available for purchase during the event, including T-shirts and baseball caps, which provide people with a souvenir of their experience.

Bikers who register for the event, at a cost of 1,000 baht, will receive a pack of official merchandise such as bandanas, patches, pins and stickers.
