LateRooms.com can reveal that anyone who has booked Prague hotels towards the end of March could find that they have the chance to view some unusual cinematographic offerings.

From March 25th until April 2nd, film-makers hailing from all over the world will present their movies which span a host of genres.

With everything from documentaries and short flicks to animated features and experimental films, there is bound to be something to catch the eye of any visitor to the Czech capital.

This international film festival is the largest in the country and has been running since 1993.

From humble beginnings, with movies screening in just two cinemas in the city, more than 4,000 films are now submitted to the event each year, with hundreds of thousands of people flocking to venues to watch the shows.

In addition to the movies, a series of art events and a music festival will be run to coincide with the festival, What's On When revealed.

Anyone who is interested in viewing one or more of the films can find them at one of three venues - Village Cinemas Andel, Ponrepo cinema and a special video auditorium screening free movies which is set up in a different place each year, usually in a church or train station.
