Worldwide Business Research (WBR) is launching the first eDiscovery for the Federal Government training conference. The 2-day event focuses on challenges in managing electronically stored information faced by records managers in the federal and defense industry. It is scheduled for June 8-9, 2010 at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, VA. In addition to records managers the event provides valuable training for Federal and Defense Chief Information Officers, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Privacy Officers, FOIA Officers, General Counsels and Legal Officers.

"During our research, it became increasingly apparent there was an overwhelming need for this type of program for federal records managers," says Lisa Ringlen, the executive director of the eDiscovery program. "Gaining high level buy in within these organizations was also front-of-mind for records managers we spoke with, so the program addresses that as well."

This records management training program will address setting up an electronic information management office/team/process/system, buy-in and collaboration within one's organization and available tools and resources for enterprise discovery. Prominent members from the federal and government agencies participating in this event include – US Magistrate Judge John Facciola, Jason Baron from NARA, Sarah Michaels Montgomery from the United States Department of Justice and Department of the Navy CIO Robert J. Carey. Participating solution providers for records administration and information governance include Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, Guidance Software, Inc., EMC, Recommind and AccessData Corporation.

Agenda for the conference and registration details are available at www.eDiscoGov.com.
