September 19, 2005 … Christmas In St. Louis, the not-for-profit umbrella organization that organizes and promotes major holiday events in the metro area, will consider requests for financial support from qualified charitable enterprises.

Not-for-profit entities in greater St. Louis that want to be considered for a CISL grant should request an application by writing to Gerry Doyle, c/o Snelling Personnel Services, 1610 Des Peres Road, Suite 350, Des Peres, Missouri 63131.

Applications must be received by October 15, 2005 for consideration by the CISL Board of Directors.

CISL will select two charities later this year and support each with a cash grant and promotional activities.

CISL activities include organizing the widely popular “St. Louis Thanksgiving Day Parade,” an annual event that typically attracts more than 25,000 spectators and live TV exposure by KSDK-TV NewsChannel 5, and hosting gala “Holiday Festival of Lights” ceremonies at Kiener Plaza downtown.

CISL is a tax-exempt civic organization qualified under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Christmas In St. Louis Foundation is a tax-exempt, publicly supported charity qualified under Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code.
