AsiaRooms.com reports anyone who enjoys learning about new cultures and artistic styles should consider booking into hotels in Seminyak in June.

This is because from June 12th until July 10th, the island will be hosting its annual Bali Arts Festival.

Each year, people from a number of the local villages head to the city of Denpasar to take part in performances of traditional Balinese dances, play some Indonesian music and show off their handicrafts.

For travellers, it is a great opportunity to experience Bali's culture and take some wonderful memories, as well as artistic souvenirs, away from their holiday.

Anyone who visits some of the villages on the island in the weeks leading up to the festival could catch a glimpse of what is to come.

Cultural groups within the smaller settlements will be selected to take to the stage at the Bali Arts Festival, which means that there are often performances to decide the best candidates.

Those who are chosen to go to Denpasar will then have the opportunity to stand up in front of audiences in the amphitheatre, which has space for up to 6,000 people.

According to the World Events Guide, the Bali Arts Festival is the biggest celebration of its kind in the country.
