Car Dealer Supplies: AutoShop Express Sees Demand Change with Season

As the weather warms up, AutoShop Express is prepared to meet the higher demand for critical car dealer supplies created by drivers looking forward to the prime driving and cruising season.

"We're already receiving orders from forward-thinking shops wanting to ensure a full inventory of the right car dealer supplies," AutoShop Express President Paul Brown said.

The North Canton-based business has seen increased demand for a variety of products, including:

- Disposable seat covers
- Versa key tags
- Oil change stickers
- Floor mats
- Steering wheel covers

Oil change stickers are also in demand, which Brown said makes sense, since they offer a useful two-for-one benefit: They remind the vehicle owner of when their oil should be changed next, and, when imprinted with a shop's contact information, provide a great marketing strategy for car dealers and repair shops.

Brown also suggested that spring is a good time for shops to review their supplier relationships to make sure their needs are being properly met.

"Dealers and repair shops should look at more than just per-part price," he said. "A supplier's commitment to strong customer service, timely deliveries and reasonable, consistent shipping charges can make a big difference in a repair shop's ability to operate efficiently and effectively.

"If a shop manager isn't completely satisfied with his existing car dealer supplies vendor, he should invest some time and investigate alternatives," Brown said. "He – and his customers – may be glad he did."
