AsiaRooms.com highlights people who enjoy looking at some of nature's splendours may want to head north-east of Bangkok in June.

From the first of the month until July 31st, the Pa Hin Ngam National Park will play host to the Krachiao Flower Festival and it is well worth a visit from anyone staying in Bangkok hotels.

The event is also known as the Siam Tulip Festival, translated from Dok Krachiao, which is the name of the flowers in Thai.

It will showcase some of the best blooms of this type to be grown in the region, which are characterised by a pink-purple colour and can be seen in the fields in the area surrounding Chaiyaphum.

Anyone who can tear themselves away from their Siam Square hotels will find the natural beauty of the surroundings perfectly complemented by the seasonal flowers.

In addition to the blossoms themselves, there are plenty of other activities to keep visitors occupied.

Among them are musical performances of Pong Lang, Khaen and Seng drumming, according to What's On When.

The events website also informs that handicrafts displays will take place around the park during the two-month long festival.

Holidaymakers who decide to travel to Chaiyaphum may also want to pay a visit to the Pa Hin Ngam rock garden, which is located within a forested area in the national park.
