May 05, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
Reaping the benefits of strong organic search engine rankings and renewed consumer interest in elective cosmetic surgery procedures Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery has registered its strongest quarter ever in terms of traffic growth.

Unique consumer visits in the quarter increased to more than 789,000, an increase of more than 45% compared to the same period in 2009 as reported by Google Analytics. Page views increased by more than 23% to more than 2.6 million. More than 90% of the visits came from major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing and 5.5% of traffic came from referring sites including Right Health and Facebook.

"This surge in traffic seems to dovetail nicely with renewed interest in cosmetic surgery procedures and the recovering economy," says Editorial Director Denise Mann. "The mood at recent industry meetings has been upbeat as well, and we are expecting an even bigger second quarter for the Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery."

Among individual articles registering the highest percentage gains in traffic were Mommy Makeover, Gynecomastia, Laser Skin Procedures and Injectables and Fillers. The most popular articles remain Breast Augmentation, Photo Gallery, Tummy Tuck, Laser Skin Procedures and Cost.
