– WFDF to Hold 2010 World Championships in Prague

June 02, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Sports News announces that the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) World Ultimate Club Championships (WUCC) will take place 3rd through 10th July, 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic.

WFDF Ultimate club teams from all over the world will participate in the seven-day event, which is celebrating its ninth instalment.

The 2010 WUCC in Prague will feature 136 teams in four divisions: 48 teams in the Open division, 32 teams in the Women's division, 40 teams in the Mixed division, and 16 teams in the Master's division.

International Ultimate competitors and spectators alike have been anticipating their stay at a hotel in Prague since the WFDF first announced the site of the 2010 WUCC nearly three years ago.

The WUCC is held every four years, and brings together the world's best club teams for a week of intense competition and camaraderie.

The WFDF is a US-based non-profit organisation that governs world championships and rules of play for flying disc sports including Ultimate, Guts, Double Disc Court, and various field events.

The WFDF was established in 1985 and currently has established member associations in nearly 50 countries around the world.

The WFDF is a recognised, participating member of Sportaccord (formerly the General Association of International Sports Federations) and the International World Games Association (IWGA).

The WFDF is also a fully compliant party to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code.
