- Rome's Fitness Festival set to get everybody moving

May 15, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News divulges if a relaxing stay in Rome hotels is not enough to please more active travellers, then inject a little energy and excitement into the holiday by attending the Fitness Festival.

The event will celebrate its 22nd anniversary this year - after launching in Rimini in 1989 - and sees all manner of sports on display, but also invites attendees to take part.

Running from June 10th to 13th this year, the organisers claim that it is the largest sporting festival in the world in terms of participants.

Taking place at the Nuova Fieri di Roma, the event boasts lectures, seminars, and competitions, in addition to the chance to try out new and emerging sporting pursuits.

Some of the activities on show include aerobics, pilates, several forms of dance, a beach extravaganza, the Over Time basket zone, parkour and all sorts of athletics.

One entertaining competition that was run in the 2009 edition of Fitness Festival is where people who can run 1 km in under six minutes can enter for free, although the organisers have yet to confirm the contest for the 2010 show, according to What's on When.

Tickets for this fantastic occasion cost 20 (£17) for one day or 30 for up to four days, with doors opening from 11:00 to midnight (local time).

Discounts may be available for groups and under 12s can enter for free.

For more information on this event visit the Fitness Festival website or contact the venue on +39 06 5178582.

To make the most of the Fitness Festival you should consider booking your hotel Roma to avoid disappointment.
