The Gaya Art Space in Ubud is playing host to a collection of installations of Galang Kangin artworks until June 7th and could make an ideal excursion for any culture vultures staying in Seminyak hotels.

Galang Kangin is a style of Indonesian contemporary art that usually adopts abstract concepts.

According to the venue's website, Galang Kangin art can cover a wide range of subjects, including nature, architecture, lifestyle, tourism and sex.

This particular exhibition opened in May 7th and has offered people staying on Bali a chance to see this interesting art form.

Among the Indonesian artists to practice this form of art is Budiawan, who has had his works displayed in several exhibitions of Galang Kangin art over the years.

The reservo-art website explains that his pieces represent "Tri Hita Karana", which is "Bali's principle of cosmic history".

Some of the artists to feature in this particular exhibition include I Made Gunawan, I Wayan Naya Swanta and I Dewa Soma Wijaya.
