LateRooms.com reports anyone booking accommodation in Brisbane during June will find that the city's gay and lesbian community are out in force for the Brisbane Pride Festival.

Kicking off on June 1st and running for the entire month, there will be a host of events and activities taking place to mark the Pride Festival.

One of the highlights for anyone visiting the city will be the rally and fair day, which is scheduled to take place on June 12th.

Anyone who wants to participate in the rally can do so free of charge, with thousands expected to attend the march along Roma Street to Musgrave Park.

People who are interested should assemble at the Roma Street Forum at 10:00 (local time), or those who would rather just observe could position themselves along the rally's route.

The fair day, which is held at Musgrave Park on the same date, costs AU$15 to enter and promises to provide a wide range of entertainment.

Fairground stalls, street performers and two stages providing musical shows are among the attractions due to be rolled out.

The event will run from 10:00 until 19:00 (local time), with dance, trance, indie and rock music among the offerings throughout the day.

For more information on this event visit the Brisbane Pride Festival website or contact the organisers on +61 427 114 696.
