- Sample the cuisine at the Singapore Food Festival

May 28, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News highlights anyone who likes trying different kinds of food from all over the globe should consider coinciding their stay in Singapore hotels with the city's food festival.

Running from June 28th until August 1st, the Singapore Food Festival promises to be a delight for the taste buds.

With plenty of stalls selling a wide range of delicacies, as well as chefs offering top cooking tips and lots of fun and games, there is bound to be something for everyone at the event.

The Clarke Quay Food Street will be one of the focal points of this year's festival, featuring Chinese cuisine from more than 30 different restaurants.

This section of the event will be located on the Read Bridge between July 16th and 24th, with entry to the area starting from S$2 (£0.98).

Free areas of the festival include the Singapore Chinese Dialect Street Snacks, which is open from 16:00 until 23:00 for all to enjoy.

There will also be cooking classes held throughout July so that visitors who want to recreate their favourite dishes at home can pick up some helpful tips.

Event organisers claim that the food on offer will "stimulate your senses for an unforgettable experience".
