LateRooms.com - Experience the Rocks Aroma festival in Sydney

LateRooms.com can reveal that tea and coffee lovers using Sydney hotels will have the perfect excuse to enjoy their favourite drinks at the Rocks Aroma festival in July.

With its large collection of bustling outdoor markets, The Rocks is now one of Sydney's most popular shopping locations for tourists and locals.

However, the precinct also played an important role in the economic development of the city, as it became established as an international trade centre for tea and coffee merchants from the 1850s onwards.

Warehouses lining nearby Campbell's Cove were also used to store spices arriving from India and exotic cargo from other corners of the globe.

The Rocks Aroma festival recognises this heritage with an all-day celebration of tea, coffee, spices and chocolate.

Taking place on Sunday July 25th, the event is described by the organisers as "an international indulgence of the sensory".

People attending the event can expect to enjoy "the heady explosion of spice as it hits the nose, the satin quality of Belgian chocolate as it melts on the tongue and the clean refreshing flavour of the first sip of a green or jasmine tea".

The festival will feature coffee-making demonstrations and a display of the latest espresso equipment, as well as plenty of free beverage offers and children's street activities.
