- Steam Extravaganza set to attract Cotswolds visitors

June 30, 2010 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News can reveal that the forthcoming Steam Extravaganza will bring people with a passion for vintage engines and classic vehicles flocking to Kemble Airfield in the heart of rural Gloucestershire.

Visitors staying in Cotswolds hotels will find a huge array of vintage transport items, as well as an aircraft display, traditional arts and crafts and a range of family activities.

According to the organisers, a few hours spent at the Steam Extravaganza will provide visitors with "a nostalgia trip that they will never forget".

The event takes place from July 31st to August 2nd, with general tickets on the Saturday and Sunday priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Family tickets on both these days are also available for £25, while weekend passes that allow admission for all three days are priced at £15 for adults and £8 for youngsters.

Chief among the attractions is the large collection of steam engines, which includes vintage steam wagons, traction engines and steam rollers.

Elsewhere, the display of more than 400 classic vehicles should be enough to keep car enthusiasts happy.

Classic motorcycles, military vehicles and historic caravans also contribute to the event with their own display areas.
