LateRooms.com - Discover the Collection of Mario De Ciccio in Naples

LateRooms.com can announce that art enthusiasts could be rewarded with a thoroughly interesting experience by travelling to Naples' Capodimonte Museum to see the Collection of Mario De Ciccio.

Visitors attending from Naples hotels will be treated to a vast selection of art works of different types, from brasswork to ceramics and bronze to marble pieces.

The items in the collection belonged to Mario De Ciccio - hence the name of the exhibition - who was a connoisseur of art that donated all of these wonderful creations in 1958.

Although he grew up in Palermo, De Ciccio moved to Naples in 1906 and set about adding to his already large array of artworks from Sicily, which dated back to the 17th and 18th century.

But it was not just in Naples that the collector found pieces to add to his home, but all over Italy and often overseas.

This makes for a varied and intriguing experience for the visitor.

People interested in heading down to this exhibition should be aware that the venue is closed on Wednesdays, but is otherwise open from 08:30 to 19:30 local time.

Entrance costs €7.50 (£6.17), although this drops to €6.50 if visitors arrive after 14:15.

Individuals who can provide proof they are European Union citizens can enter for free.

The Capodimonte Museum has been open to the public since May 5th 1957.

For more information on this event visit the Capodimonte Museum website or contact the venue on 081 2294478.
